Why there isn’t a lack of money, just a lack of movement
We are regularly fed news articles and hear comments from those in power that we are living in austere times. We hear words like deficit and cuts, and so it isn’t surprising that be begin to believe that there is a lack of money within our financial system. However, I know the reverse to be true, and it is all based on the theory that money is essentially energy that wants to move.
I will explain why the perception of lack comes about when money is not allowed to move, and share with you some positive money affirmations that will enable to you attract greater prosperity into your life. In the lead up to the 2008 economic downturn, there was a perception that things would just keep getting better and better. Gordon Brown declared an end to boom and bust, and people invested in property in the firm belief that house prices would just keep rising and rising. Whilst the crisis has been building for some time, it felt as though almost overnight things changes, and suddenly we were in what was to be known as the Credit Crunch.
How could it be that one day there was an abundance of money, and the next day there was none? And how could this possibly be the case? Well, it all boils down to confidence, or belief. Let me explain.
In other words, if consumer confidence is high then they will make more purchases. It has nothing to do with how little or how much money exists in the economy, but moreover on an arbitrary analysis made on an individual-by-individual basis of their personal finances and their perception of the wider economic climate. When consumer confidence is high, money does what it does best: it flows. Money wants to move. It loves to move!
By contrast, if consumer confidence is low, people restrict their spending and tend to put what they can into savings accounts. In order words, they begin to restrict the movement of money. If enough people, governments and businesses do this, it creates the sense that there is less money, when in fact the amount is precisely the same. The biggest pity about the loss of consumer confidence as a result of the economic downturn is the effect it has had upon the average person.
